Why Should We Plant Native?

April 14, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm MDT

You might have heard that you should plant native. But do you know why? “Because it’s good for the environment,” while correct, doesn’t do justice describing the complex role native plants play. It’s much more than that! Come learn about ecosystems, the advantages of native plants, and how invasive species disrupt the delicate balance of nature.

This presentation is a part of a Girl Scout Gold Award project, the highest award a girl scout can earn. Anna Hartwick, Avery Lankford, and Jenna Frisch will be presenting as guest speakers.

Anna is a past Bird Conservancy summer camper. She has spent the last several years in our Leaders in Training program for our Bird Camps helping youth connect with birds while in nature. All donations made will go to furthering our Bird Camp programs and youth leadership opportunities.

After registering you will receive a confirmation email with a ZOOM link to be used the day of the webinar.
