Molt 101: An Introduction to Understanding Molt in Birds

November 18, 2021 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm MST

All birds have feathers, and all birds need to replace those feathers from time to time. The study of molt, or feather replacement, is chock-full of jargon and can be difficult to approach. What is the difference between juvenile and immature? Why do Blue Jays go bald sometimes? Why do some birds have a breeding plumage while others look the same all year-round? We’ll take a close look at all this and more! Join us for our Molt 101 webinar at 11am MST on Nov. 18th; you’ll see how understanding molt can enhance your birdwatching skills and further your appreciation of our feathered friends.

The program fee is $3 to attend this webinar.
