Family & Homeschool Bird Banding Program

August 26, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm MDT

Date: Thursday, August 26th
Time: 9a-12p
Cost: $7/child (1-17 years); $1/adult (+ $9/vehicle State Park entrance fee)
Location: Barr Lake State Park
13401 Picadilly Rd, Brighton, CO
**This program is limited to children and their grownups**

Migration is a magical time of year! Join us for a unique opportunity to experience science in action and observe a wildlife biologist banding and collecting important scientific data on live, migrating birds. We will spend time at the banding station to see wild birds up close, learn how to use binoculars and practice identifying birds on a bird walk, and try our hand (wing?) at a migration obstacle course!  Children 4 & under will also get to visit the banding station, look for birds, and play in the obstacle course. In addition, these young explorers will read stories, play games, and have plenty of time for snack breaks.

Registration is required.

Scholarships are available! Please fill out this scholarship application form before completing registration. Scholarships cannot be applied after registration is complete.

REGISTER HERE!

**Registration closes at 11:59p on Monday, August 23rd **
