Family Christmas Bird Count

December 17, 2022 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm MST

There’s no better way to spend a chilly day than to get outside and explore the wonders of nature as a family! Join Bird Conservancy of the Rockies educators as we discover the unique bird species that call Chadron State Park their winter home. Enjoy family-friendly birding around the Lagoon Shelter and pond, and see how the Pine Ridge changes with the seasons.
Bird Conservancy staff will be leading two guided birding programs from 9:45-10:30am, and 10:45-11:30am.
Binoculars, field guides, and free hot drinks will be provided. No birding experience necessary!
Registration is required, please follow this link: https://bit.ly/3F7oNf5
A Nebraska State Parks permit is required to enter the park. Permits can be purchased at outdoornebraska.gov/permits/ The Chadron State Park office is closed on the weekends.
All are welcome. Our community of practice is to be an organization that empowers people of all backgrounds, beliefs, colors and creeds to join in, benefit from and contribute to our mission. We strive for inclusivity of all persons regardless of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other status.
