Come learn all about raptors with this program. We will learn what special adaptations raptors have that enable them to be a great predator! We will go for a walk along the prairie and out to the dam to look for raptors in their natural habitat. Afterwards, Nature's Educators will present some local live raptors!

Bird Walk

Come join us as we learn all about the songbirds, raptors and waterfowl that call Barr Lake home! We will walk along the prairie, check out our backyard bird feeders, and walk to the dam in order to try and identify the special adaptations that allow the birds to thrive in their ecosystems!

Birds of Winter Camp

Barr Lake Christmas Bird Count

Bird Conservancy's Environmental Learning Center 14500 Lark Bunting Lane, Brighton, CO

Participate in the Annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count, a census of birds in the Western Hemisphere performed annually by volunteer birdwatchers and administered by the National Audubon Society. The purpose is to provide population data for use in science, especially conservation biology.
