Whether you are local or visiting Scotts Bluff National Monument as part of your vacation plans\, please join a Bird Conservancy educator on Saturday mornings to learn about the amazing birds that call Scotts Bluff National Monument and western Nebraska home for the summer. We will have a table set up on the visitor center’s front lawn and look forward to sharing our passion for birds and western Nebraska wildlife with you! \nIn the event of inclement weather\, this program will move inside the visitor center. Our community of practice is to be an organization that welcomes people of all backgrounds and abilities\, regardless of how one identifies\, to join in\, benefit from\, and contribute to our mission.

DESCRIPTION:We’re teaming up with Northern Colorado Bird Alliance to discuss the benefits of keeping cats indoors. How do cats impact local wildlife? And how does it benefit cats to be kept from roaming free? Come find out while playing some games and chatting with bird experts. You’ll learn about other ways for cats to safely enjoy the outdoors and how it benefits the entire community! \nThis summer\, catch Bird Conservancy educators around Fort Collins to learn about the 7 Simple Actions you can take to help birds! We will be ‘popping-up’ in different locations to chat with people about why birds are important to our communities\, the dangers they face\, and the small everyday actions people can take to make a positive difference. In addition\, you’ll be able to test your knowledge with fun\, educational games\, learn about our work and other upcoming events\, take home collectable cards\, and get a chance to win other prizes. \nWe’ll be at Fort Collins City Park on the northeast side of Sheldon Lake from 12 – 2 p.m.
