SUMMARY:The Great Backyard Bird Count
DESCRIPTION:Come enjoy birds\, explore our local ecosystems\, and take part in this worldwide event! The Great Backyard Bird Count is a community science project\, designed to engage any and all in bird watching and population monitoring. Bird Conservancy and Colorado Parks and Wildlife are teaming up to host a morning of bird walks so you can get involved and learn how you can contribute to bird conservation from your own backyard! Families and children encouraged! \nFebruary 15th\, 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. \nMeet at Pelican Point parking lot in Cherry Creek State Park (SE of the East Boat Ramp Parking) \nWe’ll run two\, ~1.5 hour bird walks starting at the Pelican Point parking lot at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and submit all data to the Great Backyard Bird Count. \nContact Payson Cronen Smith at payson.smith@birdconservancy.org for more info!
