SUMMARY:Family Nature Club
DESCRIPTION:Family Nature Club is designed for children and their grown-ups as an opportunity to spend time in nature\, regardless of the season\, to play interactive & engaging games together\, and to learn about Western Nebraska’s unique wildlife and landscape. Every month will feature a new nature topic. We hope to explore the natural wonders of western Nebraska with your family every month this year! \n-December 6th – Celebrate Winter Wildlife @ Christmas on the Prairie! Family Nature Club is intended for children and their grown-ups. Each family group will receive an Exploration Kit to use during the series to explore the natural world around them at home. Family Nature Club will be outside the entire time unless otherwise noted. Please dress comfortably for the weather and bring snacks/water as needed. \nFamily Nature Clubs are held at the Scotts Bluff National Monument\, 190276 Old Oregon Trail\, Gering\, NE 69341. \nFor more information (308) 633-1013. All are welcome. Our community of practice is to be an organization that empowers people of all backgrounds\, beliefs\, colors\, and creeds to join in\, benefit from\, and contribute to our mission. DESCRIPTION:Among the many familiar symbols of the holidays\, such as Santa Claus\, pine trees\, snowmen\, and reindeer\, there are also quite a few birds! Grab a cup of hot cider or coffee\, and please join us for an engaging presentation about the role that birds play in our holiday celebrations during Scotts Bluff National Monument’s “Christmas on the Prairie” event. \nThis presentation will begin at 1 p.m. on December 6. “Christmas on the Prairie” at Scotts Bluff National Monument will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thanks to generous support from individuals like you\, the Nebraska Game & Parks Commission\, and the Sherwood Foundation\, this program is offered at NO COST to you.
