Planting Day at Kingfisher Point Natural Area

Join a planting day in partnership with the Fort Collins Natural Areas with additional support by CSU Ecological Restoration Club, Minorities in Ag and Natural Resources Club. Volunteers will work to restore a section Kingfisher Point Natural Area by planting native shrubs and trees.
Bird Conservancy’s Eastern-Screech Owl Citizen Science program works to provide science based support to help identify restoration areas that will benefit owls, birds and other wildlife – thanks to Patagonia and New Belgium for their kind support of Citizen Science and restoration along the Poudre River.
With all of the amazing support we will be planting about 200 shrubs! Please come prepared to work outside – layers are your friend! Also wear close toed shoes, long pants and anything else you may need to keep you comfortable.
Fort Collins Natural Areas will provide all necessary tools and safety equipment including…(gloves, tools, waders, sunscreen, water, snacks and lunch).
Please carpool, bike or walk to reduce congestion -Kingfisher Point is located right off the Poudre Trail (additional parking information will be available upon sign up).
